Ascension Thursday, 2018.
Greetings,
As I ponder the Ascension of our Lord into Heaven, due to lack of faith I find myself desiring that He would have remained on Earth physically ruling His Church, but that was not His will. If He remained, the Paraclete would not be sent. This ineffable Mystery of the Ascension of Christ and the sending of the Holy Ghost is beyond all comprehension. The One ascended and the Other descended. One emptied Himself and the Other poured out Himself into the hearts of men. Yet the Two are One in Essence. And so as our Lord ascended so too will we ascend if we are recreated and reformed into His image and likeness.
